How to Spend a Great Weekend: 3 Ways you can Make it Longer

I don’t know about you but for us, time seems to fly by so quick! The weeks are so short and it feels like there is only two days in a week – Monday and Friday. Crazy, isn’t it? And by Friday while everyone is happy #tgif (Thank God it’s Friday) the weekends go by in the blink of an eye.

We’ve developed a routine for a weekend that feels longer and more satisfying. Here’s what we do:

Step 1: Start with simple changes

For us it is cleaning up on Thursdays, so we can have a more chilled day on Friday. We will usually plan something on Friday, grab an ice cream and have a walk in the park. If we don’t feel like going out, than, we stay at home prepare a nice meal and watch our favorite movie.

Step 2: Try something new  

Trying something new is a good challenge for a brain as it pays more attention to details. Remember that a weekend packed with new experiences will feel longer than a weekend spent in front of the TV. We gave up TV 5 years ago and we couldn’t be happier!

Step 3: Create a TO-DO list

Write on the paper or any app you might be using, we use Evernote We plan this out write each other if there is anything that’s missing one of us will always add it to the list.
